Roku reported 24% third-quarter revenue growth as its devices segment’s gross loss reached $48.6 million; the company said elevated memory costs were the main factor behind its negative margin.
Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $1.502 billion, compared with $1.211 billion in the same quarter of 2025. Net income came to $183.3 million, up from $24.8 million; diluted earnings per share were $1.20, versus 16 cents.
Advertising and subscription sales each increased 23% from a year earlier, taking platform revenue to $1.308 billion. Advertising contributed $727.4 million and subscriptions $580.9 million; Roku groups both in its platform category.
Devices revenue totaled $193.7 million, 33% more than a year earlier, while the segment recorded a $48.6 million gross loss, compared with $22.9 million a year earlier. Roku said elevated memory costs were the primary reason for its negative 25.1% gross margin. Gross profit across the company totaled $648.5 million, up 24%.
While its proposed Fox acquisition is pending, Roku said it would omit an earnings call and financial outlook. The company said the second-half 2026 forecast in its proxy statement remained achievable.
At separate votes on Oct. 14, Roku shareholders approved the merger agreement and Fox Class B shareholders authorized a stock issuance proposal, the companies’ filings show. The transaction still needs regulatory approval and must satisfy other closing conditions. EconoTimes previously covered the shareholder votes and remaining deal conditions.
