The Rosen Law Firm said Thursday it had filed a proposed securities class action involving Gildan Activewear Inc. (NYSE: GIL), with a Dec. 14, 2026, deadline for investors seeking to lead the case.
Rosen says the proposed class covers investors who bought Gildan securities from Feb. 19, 2025, through June 15, 2026, inclusive. The firm says the complaint alleges inadequate internal controls and channel stuffing, which it claims made revenue appear stronger. It also says the suit challenges statements about Gildan’s business and outlook as misleading. Rosen said a class had not been certified.
The firm’s announcement did not identify a court or docket number, and the complaint was not included with the notice. Rosen says investors who do not seek lead-plaintiff status may still be eligible for any potential recovery.
On June 16, after a short-seller report about the company was published that day, Gildan said it was confident its current disclosure gave investors accurate and comprehensive information and reiterated its 2026 guidance.
Gildan reported first-quarter 2026 net sales from continuing operations of $1.17 billion, up 63.8% from a year earlier. The quarter ended March 29 and was the first period in which HanesBrands’ results were fully consolidated into Gildan’s financial statements.
The lead-plaintiff deadline set out in Rosen’s announcement is Dec. 14, 2026.
