Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said Sunday it detained a Russian minor over alleged plans for an attack at Moscow’s Tsaritsyno Park, after Russian authorities received information from the United States.

The FSB thanked the United States in a statement, saying, “We are grateful to the American side for providing the information.”

Separately, the U.S. Embassy in Moscow warned Saturday of a credible threat of a mass-casualty event at the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve. The embassy said U.S. officials were working with Russian counterparts and urged people to avoid the reserve and take safety precautions.

The Moscow Times reported that the reserve was evacuated during a concert there Saturday. Musician Lilia Pechenkina told Ostorozhno, Novosti that “an evacuation announcement came over the loudspeaker” as she played the program’s final piece.

The Moscow Times said U.S. authorities had alerted Moscow before the March 22, 2024, assault on Crocus City Hall; 145 people were killed and hundreds wounded. Sergei Naryshkin, Russia’s foreign intelligence chief, later said the U.S. information had been too general to identify the attackers, the outlet reported.
