EssilorLuxottica said Friday that S&P Global Ratings raised its long-term credit rating to A+, with the company attributing the decision to the agency’s assessment of its growth, cash flow and balance sheet.

The upgrade was to A+, with a stable outlook, according to the company’s Oct. 23 announcement. EssilorLuxottica said S&P pointed to the company’s organic growth trajectory, healthy cash flow and robust balance sheet.

EssilorLuxottica said S&P views its strategic development into a leading eyecare and medtech company as supporting its expansion prospects and financial resilience.
