SABA, the Houthi-run Yemeni news agency, reported strikes in Sanaa and Mokha Saturday, while Anadolu reported that a Saudi coalition spokesman said defenses intercepted two missiles headed for cities in Saudi Arabia.

SABA attributed the reported strikes to Saudi aircraft. Its initial Mokha bulletin cited a local source and said aircraft remained overhead, but gave no account of the outcome. In a later report, SABA quoted Yemen’s Houthi-run Health Ministry as saying three people were killed and three injured in Asr, while seven were killed and eight injured in Hamdan. Those figures total 10 killed and 11 injured, according to the ministry.

Anadolu reported that coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki al-Maliki said air defenses shot down two Houthi ballistic missiles headed toward Taif and Yanbu. Anadolu also reported no immediate response from Riyadh to the airstrike claims.

Anadolu said renewed fighting between Yemen’s government forces and the Houthis began in July, after a 2022 ceasefire broke down. EconoTimes previously covered Yemen TV’s report of strikes east of Mokha during a southwestern offensive on Oct. 21.
