SCOR SE reported EUR 206 million in third-quarter net income, above the analyst average published by the company, as natural-catastrophe losses coincided with a higher combined ratio in its property and casualty business.

SCOR said net income fell 4.8% from the third quarter of 2025, when it was EUR 217 million. The displayed rounded totals imply a decline of about 5.1%, so the reported rate and rounded amounts differ slightly.

The analyst consensus published by SCOR on Oct. 14 put the average estimate at EUR 176 million; the reported EUR 206 million was about 17% above that estimate. It drew on estimates from 13 sell-side analysts collected from Sept. 29 to Oct. 13. The document says the estimates belong to the analysts and are neither endorsed nor independently verified by SCOR.

Total insurance revenue rose 1.2% to EUR 3.757 billion in the quarter at current exchange rates. Property and casualty revenue increased 3.5% to EUR 1.876 billion on that basis, while its insurance service result fell 15% to EUR 216 million. The combined ratio rose to 84.1% from 80.9% a year earlier.

SCOR put its natural-catastrophe loss ratio at 9.1%. The company cited earthquake losses in Colombia and a number of smaller events. In life and health, insurance revenue declined 1% at current exchange rates, but the insurance service result climbed 21.3% to EUR 119 million. The regular income yield on investments was 4.1%, compared with 3.5% a year earlier.

For the first nine months, net income totaled EUR 603 million, down 6.1% from EUR 642 million a year earlier. Insurance revenue for the period fell 3.4% to EUR 11.196 billion.

SCOR estimated its solvency ratio at 221% on Sept. 30, six percentage points above its level at the end of 2025. The company attributed the increase to capital built across its business lines, measured after it accounted for growth investment, debt reduction and the dividend provision.

SCOR plans to present a new strategic plan at an investor day in London on Dec. 3, 2026.
