According to the lawsuit, throughout the Class Period defendants issued materially false and misleading statements to investors and/or failed to disclose that: (1) Fitbit’s heart rate monitoring technology was inaccurate and did not consistently deliver accurate heart rate readings during exercise; (2) the inaccuracy of Fitbit’s heart rate monitoring technology posed serious health risks to users of Fitbit’s products; and (3) as a result, defendants’ statements about Fitbit’s business, operations, and prospects were false and misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.
