SINGAPORE, Sept. 26, 2017 -- AdroitLogic, the company that allows enterprises to connect applications, systems and partners with high performance capabilities, today announced the publication of a case study describing the utilization of its Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) UltraESB and Enterprise Middleware (EMW) Framework by Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) for integration with SAP.
“The use of UltraESB, along with Enterprise Middleware Framework, helped us to successfully integrate a SAP (BAPI) system with an existing internal legacy system, while preserving the flexibility and scalability to cater our future requirements as well,” stated Ang Kian Ann, Assistant Vice President of Enterprise Services at SGX.
SGX is Asia’s most international stock exchange, and together with its affiliates, offers a fully integrated value chain from trading and clearing to settlement and depository services. Being Asia’s leading counterparty for the clearing of financial and commodity products, SGX serves customers internationally through its global array of establishments. SGX is also a member of the World Federation of Exchanges and the Asian and Oceanian Stock Exchanges Federation.
The primary integration challenge was the need to uniformly mediate, transform and dispatch HTTP messages of multiple XML formats, generated by an internal legacy system, to a Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI) of a SAP system, with high availability and detailed tracing, monitoring and management capabilities.
The solution involves an EMW interface that receives SOAP requests from the source system, which are then validated, transformed and delivered to the SAP system using the BAPI protocol. EMW Framework persists each received, processed and delivered message for exposure via a custom dashboard integrated with AdroitLogic Integration Monitor, which facilitates tracing, redelivery and archival of messages as well as provisioning or disabling downstream systems on-the-fly.
