CSL Group said Oct. 16 that it had acquired SIMPL Wireless, adding a U.S. eSIM provider to its managed IoT operation as it expands in North America.
SIMPL’s staff will join the wider CSL organization, while the acquired operation will keep its name when serving current customers and partners, CSL said. SIMPL Wireless CEO Jason Morrow said, “For our customers, nothing changes on day one except what we can now offer them.” The companies did not disclose the purchase price or valuation.
The deal includes EverSIM, an eSIM service, and Compass, a connectivity management platform. CSL said EverSIM lets users either buy service through SIMPL or bring connectivity from as many as 100 mobile network operators. The service supports 5G Standalone and is backward-compatible with NB-IoT, CSL said.
Compass puts SIMPL SIMs and customers’ existing carrier SIMs in one dashboard and makes them available through an API, according to CSL. It can automatically move service to backup profiles if a primary network fails, the company said. SIMPL has relationships with T-Mobile and Thales and serves customers in retail, transport, energy and electric vehicle charging, as well as solution providers and resellers.
CSL reported more than 3 million connections across building security, health care, infrastructure, utilities and transport. It called the purchase its second acquisition of 2026, after buying IoTM Solutions in July. CSL said it aims to pair SIMPL’s eSIM management and U.S. carrier relationships with its managed connectivity services and patented rSIM resilience technology. It said unified management can reduce costs and shorten deployment times, but gave no estimate of potential savings.
The GSMA describes SGP.32 as the specification for remote provisioning and management of eUICCs in IoT devices. The organization lists version 1.3 as published May 22, 2026.
