SJVN’s consolidated profit more than doubled in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, while a lower EBITDA margin showed that revenue growth outpaced operating earnings growth.

The Indian power producer recorded net profit of Rs 657 crore for July-September, compared with Rs 308 crore in the year-earlier quarter. Revenue totaled Rs 2,244 crore, up from Rs 1,032 crore.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) reached Rs 1,585 crore, an 84.3% increase from Rs 860 crore a year earlier. EBITDA margin, which measures EBITDA as a share of revenue, was 70.6%, compared with 83.3% in the same period last year.
