SK Hyper’s South Korean data center plan targets 15 gigawatts of capacity by 2035. CEO Chung Suk-geun put the equipment-inclusive cost of the initial five-gigawatt phase at $350 billion.

The recently formed SK Group unit is discussing the project with technology companies and financial investors. It aims to complete its first outside financing round by late 2026 or early 2027.

SK Hyper plans to raise money over three to four years and share construction expenses with data center tenants and outside investors.
