HONG KONG, April 24, 2017 -- SPI Energy Co., Ltd. (“SPI Energy” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ:SPI), a global clean energy market place for business, residential, government and utility customers and investors, today announced that it has entered into a share purchase agreement with Tiger Capital Fund SPC participating in Tiger Global SP, which has agreed to purchase 80,000,000 ordinary shares of the Company, at an aggregate purchase price of US$5,760,000 and subject to the terms and conditions of the share purchase agreement, including a lock-up for 180 days from the closing date of the contemplated transactions which is scheduled no later than May 9, 2017, or such other time or on such other date that is agreed upon in writing by both parties.
The Company's American depositary shares (ADSs) are quoted on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol “SPI”. Each ADS represents ten ordinary shares of the Company.
