STA Jets said Thursday it had agreed to acquire International Jet, a deal that would add a Denver-area base and aviation services to its network, with no price or closing date disclosed.

International Jet is based at Centennial Airport near Denver, Colorado. It offers charter flights, aircraft management and aircraft sales. Its aircraft range from turboprops to large-cabin jets, with light, midsize and super-midsize models in between. STA said the acquisition would extend its reach, increase fleet capacity and broaden its services.

STA founder Kurt Belcher said the addition would widen the company’s network and strengthen the capabilities available to clients. The announcement gave no purchase price or expected closing date.

International Jet’s history traces the business to Long Beach, California, in 1979, followed by a move to Denver in February 1980. The company says it began the first charter service using Lear Jets at Centennial Airport that June. International Jet says it completed more than 10,000 medical transport missions during a 25-year span.
