John Hinshaw is a board member of The Bank of New York Mellon, DocuSign, and the National Academy Foundation (NAF). Until November 2016, John served as the Chief Customer Officer for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he oversaw information technology and cyber security functions, along with leading strategic accounts and alliances. From 2011 to 2015 John served as EVP of Technology and Operations at Hewlett Packard. Previously, John served as the CIO, and then as General Manager of the Information Solutions business unit at The Boeing Company. Prior to Boeing, John was the CIO of Verizon Wireless and had a fourteen year career at Verizon where he worked on enabling business growth, reducing costs, and improving business productivity. John and his wife, Julia, founded a charitable foundation to focus on his passion for education, health, and wellness, along with being an angel investor and vintner. John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in computer information systems from James Madison University.
