Sage plans to begin a limited rollout of its first AI Workspace for Sage Intacct this month, with accounts payable as the initial workflow for bringing software agents into finance operations.
The company outlined the plan Nov. 5 at its Sage Future for Partners event in Atlanta. Sage says the planned Workspace is intended to help finance teams monitor and manage specialized agents alongside financial information and processes. The company has not announced a date for general release.
Sage says its AP Agent can help process invoices, match them with purchase orders, flag exceptions and route work for approval. Other listed agents are designed to monitor period-close tasks, identify potential assurance risks, flag missing time entries and compare nonprofit financial health with similar organizations. Finance Intelligence Agent supports natural-language questions about Sage Intacct data and financial trends.
The Sage Agent Marketplace is available now, according to the company. Customers can find, subscribe to and activate partner-built agents in Sage Intacct, set permissions through an agent management console, and invoke Marketplace agents through Sage Copilot alongside Finance Intelligence Agent.
“Agents execute the routine work,” said Jon Fasoli, Senior Vice President of Sage Intacct at Sage. He said finance professionals would review and approve agent work using controls their businesses set up in Sage’s AI platform.
Sage lists Cash Agent and AR Agent as future capabilities. Sage said access depends on which capability and market are involved. The company did not announce pricing or quantified productivity results.
