Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have full schedules now that the production of “Outlander” season 5 is underway. But despite being busy, it appears that the actor still finds time for his charity works via his My Peak Challenge community that aims to bring positive change by help others.
In connection with his community works, Sam Heughan relayed on Sunday, March 3 that he has some new announcements to make. He said that he has some major plans for My Peak Challenge and it will be exciting for everyone.
“Some major plans for @mypeakchallenge this year and several exciting announcements coming soon! What a year we’ve had already and it’s only March!” Caitriona Balfe’s “Outlander” co-star wrote on Instagram. “Thanks to our whole MPC Team and to our dedicated and inspiring Peakers.”
Apart from being admired and followed as Jamie Fraser in the “Outlander” series, Sam Heughan has a huge following for his My Peak Challenge project too. Caitriona Balfe’s co-star set up the initiative to provide support to the needy, to educate and inspire people to choose the route to a healthier, happy life and this is why thousands of people are supporting his cause.
At any rate, as mentioned before, “Outlander” season 5’s production has already started early this year. As soon as the fourth installment ended, the drama’s staff headed back to Scotland to begin the pre-production works.
Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are also expected back on the set as Jamie and Claire Fraser. So, what can the viewers expect from the “Outlander” season 5?
It was already confirmed that the upcoming season would be based on Diana Gabaldon’s “Fiery Cross” novel and executive producer Matthew Roberts shared some serious teaser for “Outlander” season 5. He mentioned that it will be chaotic in Fraser’s Ridge so Jamie, Claire, Brianna, Roger and their baby will not have the kind of quiet life that they were aiming for.
“Murtagh is definitely going to cause some problems for Fraser’s Ridge, for Jamie and for Claire,” he told Parade. “Roger and Bree will have to find a footing. Just because that last beat in the story looked like everything was going to be happy, this is the Fraser clan. I don’t know that happily ever after is a phrase that Diana Gabaldon knows.”
It seems that the executive producer was talking about what will happen after Jamie received an order from Governor Tyron in the finale of “Outlander” season 4. He was asked to go after the Regulators, a group that Murtagh belongs to.
The problem is that Murtagh is Jamie’s godfather and confidante so it is a tricky situation. But, going against the order of the governor can also result to violent consequences so there is no easy way out for Jamie.
