Nurix Therapeutics said Sanofi will discontinue a Phase 1 first-in-human trial of SAR448272 and terminate the program, ending development of the experimental inflammatory-disease drug created under the companies’ collaboration.

Nurix identified SAR448272 as an oral STAT6 degrader in its Nov. 3 announcement. The first-in-human trial was the program’s initial study in people.

Nurix said it no longer anticipates future development, regulatory or commercial milestone payments, or royalties for SAR448272. The company remains eligible for payments tied to other licensed programs, it said.
