A Satoshi Note tally put traders ranked by seven-day performance mostly long and those ranked over 24 hours mostly short, showing sharply different positioning across the two windows.
At 11:48 p.m. ET Oct. 21 (03:48 UTC Oct. 22), the seven-day group held about $1.54 billion in long positions and $486 million in shorts, a 76% long share.
The same snapshot put the 24-hour group at about $567 million in longs and $2.62 billion in shorts, or 82% short. A comparison recorded at 2:28 a.m. ET Oct. 21 (06:28 UTC) put the seven-day group 87% short and the 24-hour group 81% long.
Satoshi Note describes rankings built from trader records published by Hyperliquid, Lighter, dYdX and Pacifica. Its public site lists 24-hour, seven-day and 30-day performance windows and says rankings can update hourly. EconoTimes previously covered a short-heavy Satoshi Index reading after Pacifica joined the count.
Because the groups are ranked over different performance windows, the accounts in them may change over time. The aggregate figures do not establish that individual traders reversed their positions. The tally covers positions on the four named exchanges and does not show what ranked accounts may hold elsewhere or in spot markets.
