Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that citizens may apply for U.S. Global Entry, which provides approved travelers with expedited immigration and customs processing, Gulf News reported.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) administers the program, according to Gulf News. Approved applicants can use expedited immigration and customs processing, the outlet reported.
One membership allows approved Saudi travelers to use both Global Entry and TSA PreCheck, Gulf News said. TSA PreCheck provides faster security screening at more than 200 U.S. airports, and more than 80 airlines participate, according to the report.
Applicants can submit requests through the official Trusted Traveller Programs website. They must meet eligibility requirements and receive approval, Gulf News reported. Membership can last up to five years.
The ministry described the move as part of efforts to strengthen Saudi-U.S. cooperation and make travel easier for Saudi travelers, the outlet reported.
