Saudi Civil Defense said the danger had passed in Abha and Khamis Mushait on Sunday after warnings were issued, ending alerts in two cities in the kingdom’s southwest.

Saudi Civil Defense said it sent resident alerts through the National Early Warning Platform for Emergencies. Later posts announced that the danger was over in both places. The announcements did not identify what prompted the warnings or say whether anyone was hurt or property was damaged.

Anadolu Agency placed the alerts amid increased fighting between Yemen’s Houthis and a Saudi-led coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognized government. It also reported that Saudi Arabia had faced repeated Houthi missile and drone attacks in recent weeks.

In a separate incident, missile debris injured two people and damaged three residential buildings in Khamis Mushait and Ahad Rafidah, according to earlier EconoTimes coverage.
