Reports of aerial interceptions across Saudi Arabia continued Tuesday as the Saudi-led coalition said it stopped three ballistic missiles headed for the kingdom’s Eastern Province.

Coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Malki attributed the missile launches to Yemen’s Houthi group.

In a separate statement Monday, the coalition said it had intercepted and destroyed three drones in the Riyadh region and southern Saudi Arabia.

An Oct. 25 Saudi Press Agency (SPA) bulletin reported that coalition forces had intercepted 10 ballistic missiles aimed at the kingdom’s south. EconoTimes previously covered the 10-missile interception announcement. An Oct. 23 coalition announcement said a ballistic missile headed for Riyadh had also been intercepted, according to EconoTimes’ earlier report on the Riyadh interception.

A separate coalition account carried by SPA Monday said a related operation destroyed missile tunnels, launchers and a storage facility. The coalition said cutting Houthi supply lines was an aim of the operation. Anadolu Agency reported that the coalition has supported Yemen’s internationally recognized government since 2015.
