The Saudi-led coalition said Friday, Oct. 23, it intercepted and destroyed a Houthi ballistic missile launched toward Riyadh, following a separate reported interception involving the capital three days earlier.
Coalition spokesperson Turki al-Maliki announced the interception in a post on X. The coalition did not provide the missile’s launch location or say whether the interception caused damage.
The Oct. 23 incident followed a separate missile interception involving Riyadh on Oct. 20. In that earlier account, the coalition blamed the Houthis for the launch, while the Saudi Press Agency’s report did not identify which force carried out the interception. EconoTimes previously covered the Oct. 20 Riyadh interception.
