Securitize can mint and redeem bank-issued stablecoins directly with Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A., reducing its reliance on intermediaries for the payment side of institutional tokenized asset trades.
The bank will also provide custody and settlement under the arrangement. Direct access allows Securitize to obtain stablecoins from their issuer instead of sourcing them through another provider.
Anchorage said Securitize has more than $4 billion in assets on its platform. Securitize supports tokenized funds from BlackRock, Apollo, BNY, Hamilton Lane, KKR and VanEck.
Separately, Securitize’s tokenized U.S. shares initially settle in USDC on Solana. That offering includes 12 securities and is available to eligible investors in permitted markets.
Securitize Chairman and CEO Carlos Domingo said the money used to settle tokenized securities should meet standards comparable to those applied to the securities. Anchorage did not identify which stablecoin the arrangement will use or give a launch date.
