Seiko is releasing a new model for its Astron Nexter series to celebrate Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani’s milestone of achieving double-digit wins and double-digit home runs in a single season in 104 years.
The Japanese wristwatch giant will release the limited-edition Ohtani special on November 11 for 308,000 yen.
Only 1,700 pieces would be manufactured.
The watch has its sub-dial positioned at 9 o’clock and Ohtani’s number “17” laid out in the same font style as his uniform.
The watch also features the city code of Anaheim, California, the home of the Los Angeles Angels.
Ohtani’s autograph and the serial number up to 1700, his team number. Are printed on the watch’s back.
All watches come with a special display box.
