A 2.37% rise in the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index made chip shares the strongest part of a generally positive U.S. market Tuesday morning, with all three major benchmarks also higher.

At 11:07 a.m. ET (15:07 UTC), the semiconductor index stood at 11,346. The Nasdaq Composite was up 1%, the S&P 500 gained 0.53% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.08%.

Dell Technologies shares climbed 7.73%, the largest gain among the stocks listed. Advanced Micro Devices rose 4.08%, Broadcom gained 3.49% and Intel added 2.82%; Meta shares fell 0.42%.

Other chipmakers also advanced. Micron Technology gained 2.63%, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. rose 2.62%, ASML added 2.27% and SK Hynix gained 2.08%. Arm advanced 1.08% and Nvidia rose 0.87%.

The Tuesday advance was smaller than at a similar point Monday, when the semiconductor index was up 3% and the Nasdaq had gained 1.3%, during a session in which chip shares outpaced other major benchmarks.
