‘Shades of Blue’ season 2’s episode 2, titled “Eye of the Hurricane," will follow Wozniak as he wages war against Stahl following the events of the season premiere. Meanwhile, Harlee will have to deal with her own problems when she finds herself caught in the middle of a conflict that makes her a target for Wozniak as well as the FBI.
The synopsis for “Eye of the Hurricane" posted on TV Guide reads, “Wozniak (Ray Liotta) launches an all-out war against Stahl (Warren Kole) after learning that his target is Wozniak's close friend Julia Ayers (Anna Gunn), who's running for mayor.
In other events, Harlee (Jennifer Lopez) pursues a case that makes her a target of Wozniak and the FBI; and a new presence at the precinct threatens to uncover the crew's deepest secrets.”
It seems that Wozniak will take matters into his own hands when he discovers that Stahl’s target is his close friend and Mayoral candidate, Julia Ayers. The two had a history of being together as well as working together.
In the previous episode, Wozniak made a deal with Stahl to keep himself as well as his crew out of prison. Unbeknownst to him, Stahl has led him to a trap.
Meanwhile, Harlee will find herself in an investigation that ultimately makes her a target for Wozniak and the FBI as she is thrown in the middle of a conflict with the mob. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, she was forced to cover up the murder of his abusive ex-husband after he tried to rape her, thereby prompting her to kill him for the sake of her safety as well as her daughter Christina’s (Sarah Jaffery).
During an interview with E! News, Jennifer Lopez revealed that season 2 of NBC’s crime-drama television series will be even more action-packed than the first. The popular singer and actress said, "Television is a tough thing because you've gotta keep people interested, and you gotta keep the stories exciting and you gotta keep it intense and every episode after episode has to draw people back in… We had a great time last year doing that, and this year, we up the ante. You have to."
She continued, “This year we have outside threats, and the FBI, and there's more going on, and there's a bigger conspiracy to all of it, so where they wind up at the end of this season, I can tell you, it's nutty.”
Co-actor Ray Liotta added, "We pick up from right where we left off, and things get more and more intense.”
‘Shades of Blue’ season 2’s episode 2, titled “Eye of the Hurricane," is scheduled to be released on March 12, 2017 on NBC. It will be followed by episode 3, titled "Ghost Hunt," scheduled to air on March 19.
