Dibba Al Hisn Municipality closed Dibba Al Hisn Beach in Sharjah for maintenance and improvement work, temporarily cutting off public access, Gulf News reported Tuesday, Oct. 27.
The municipality has not said how long the closure will last or when the beach may reopen. It described the project as an effort to upgrade facilities at the site, while beachgoers cannot use it during the work.
The beach will remain closed until the municipality issues a notice restoring public access.
Fishing is suspended in affected parts of Umm Al Quwain, and officials have not announced reopening dates for beaches there or in Ras Al Khaimah.
The dispute involved 41,000 metric tonnes of LPG under a Dh112,214,155.63 contract; the reported refund covers payments the seller had received.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced the expansion. Revised procedures cut required employer data by 90%.
