Shiba Inu (SHIB) exchange reserves were reported at 87.06 trillion tokens on Oct. 20, below an earlier reading, but the decline alone gives no evidence that demand has strengthened.
The Oct. 19 reserve reading put 87.11 trillion SHIB on exchanges, up 0.07% from the preceding day. That percentage describes the earlier increase, not the subsequent decline. The later tally shows a smaller exchange balance without explaining what caused the change.
The Oct. 20 report also recorded net withdrawals of 33.94 billion SHIB over 24 hours. Withdrawals exceeded deposits during that period, but the flow figure does not reveal why holders moved their tokens or whether buying increased.
Exchange reserves measure tokens held in exchange wallets, while net flows compare transfers into and out of those wallets. Neither measure alone establishes demand. Higher prices accompanied by greater spot trading volume would provide more evidence of buying interest.
A reading below 86 trillion SHIB would show a further reduction in exchange-held tokens. Price and spot trading volume remain indicators to watch when assessing whether demand is growing.
