Siemens Healthineers AG projects lower adjusted earnings per share for fiscal 2027 than it recorded in fiscal 2026, while forecasting comparable revenue growth of 4% to 5%.
The company released its fiscal 2026 results Nov. 5. It forecast adjusted basic earnings per share (EPS) of €2.20 to €2.40 for fiscal 2027, compared with €2.42 in fiscal 2026. The projected range is €0.02 to €0.22 below last year's result.
The fourth-quarter figures cover the three months ended Sept. 30. Revenue totaled €6.784 billion, up from €6.322 billion a year earlier. Reported growth was 7.3%, while comparable growth was 5.9%. The comparable measure excludes currency and portfolio changes, along with certain contract-liability adjustments under International Financial Reporting Standard 3 (IFRS 3).
Adjusted EBIT was €1.077 billion, 2% below the prior-year €1.098 billion. Its margin was 15.9%, down 1.5 percentage points from 17.4%. Adjusted EPS increased 1.7% to €0.69 from €0.68, and net income rose 0.3% to €599 million from €597 million. Free cash flow dropped 18.6% to €703 million, versus €863 million.
The quarter combined higher revenue, adjusted EPS and net income with lower adjusted EBIT and free cash flow. Imaging recorded comparable growth of 10%, while Precision Therapy grew 4.8%. Diagnostics posted the only comparable revenue decline, at 4.2%.
The company said currency effects and provisions for legal and product-related risks in Imaging, along with unusual costs in every segment, outweighed support from revenue growth, pension-related items and tariff refunds.
The company is preparing for Diagnostics’ transition to Olyrian Diagnostics, a change expected to be complete by mid-2028.
