Silver Bulletin's national congressional polling average showed Democrats leading Republicans by 8.9 percentage points through Nov. 2, offering a measure of party support ahead of the U.S. midterms.

Silver Bulletin said the figure combined congressional ballot polls collected through Nov. 2. It measured national support for the parties, not votes in individual House races.

An earlier EconoTimes comparison found Democrats' lead at a comparable point in 2018 was 0.9 percentage point smaller. The outlet also examined a poll-only model's possible path to Senate seat flips.
