Investing.com's Oct. 19 daily price history put silver at $56.8960, down 0.83% and below the $57 level FXStreet identified as initial support in a technical analysis.

FXStreet reported silver at $57.21 at 3:35 p.m. ET (19:35 UTC), up 0.38% on its measure. Its intraday quote and Investing.com's daily closing entry come from separate providers and capture different snapshots of trading.

Earlier, FXStreet had quoted silver at $57.53, up 0.93%, at 5:31 a.m. ET (09:31 UTC), as EconoTimes reported in its coverage of the morning reading. The outlet's afternoon reading showed a smaller gain than its morning reading.

FXStreet analyst Christian Borjon Valencia viewed silver's chart as bearish. His assessment drew on the price's position below its simple moving averages and a series of lower peaks and troughs. He also described the Relative Strength Index, a momentum measure, as near oversold territory.

Valencia identified $57.00 as initial support. FXStreet listed $56.50, $56.00 and $55.00 among lower reference points, and $57.98 as the first resistance level. Those figures are chart markers in the outlet's analysis, not assured future prices.
