The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) has introduced online tools to help companies prepare corporate income tax returns for the 2026 year of assessment before the Nov. 30 filing deadline.
IRAS said the resources will benefit more than 323,000 companies, The Straits Times reported on Oct. 19. Those companies include more than 37,000 newly incorporated businesses, IRAS said.
For newly incorporated companies, one of the tools checks whether they have a filing obligation. Others help businesses organize records, assess whether expenses are deductible and troubleshoot access to the myTax Portal. Companies can also check the status of payments and objections online.
The additions extend an existing effort to simplify corporate tax filing. About 80% of eligible companies used a simplified return for the 2025 year of assessment, IRAS said. For certain companies, that return reduced a three-page form to six essential fields.
IRAS said clearer filing processes are intended to reduce the administrative work companies face when preparing returns. The tools address steps from determining whether a newly incorporated business must file to checking the status of a submission-related matter.
The agency also said companies may be eligible for a corporate income tax rebate or cash grants under measures announced this year. Separately, it pointed businesses with qualifying artificial intelligence spending to expanded tax deductions under the Enterprise Innovation Scheme for the 2027 and 2028 years of assessment.
Companies should file their returns for the 2026 year of assessment by Nov. 30, 2026, IRAS said.
