The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said at least two Ledger wallet cases have been reported in Singapore since Sept. 10, with losses totaling about S$3.5 million.

Police said some affected devices had been bought at retail stores in Singapore. Police said its preliminary inquiry identified credential-capturing components in some wallets bought from Singapore retailers.

The finding is preliminary and relates to some devices. Misuse of the credentials could let an unauthorized person access and transfer the cryptocurrency without the holder’s knowledge, police said.

The company is reviewing the cases after police contacted it, the SPF said; investigations remain open. The advisory did not identify the people who incurred the losses. EconoTimes previously covered the scope of Ledger’s Genuine Check, which covers the security chip rather than the whole wallet.
