‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4’s episode 9, titled “Child’s Play,” will feature Molly as her imaginary friend, called Mr. Stitch, becomes real. It was hinted that Mr. Stitch is out to get people Molly has negative feelings for and this includes her own mother, Diana.
The synopsis for “Child’s Play” posted on TV Guide reads, “Molly (Oona Yaffe) visits the vault for the first time. Meanwhile, Diana (Janina Gavankar) worries about her daughter's life as a Witness when a monster appears that looks like her imaginary friend from childhood.”
In the preview for episode 9, Molly tells Ichabod (Tom Mison) something that immediately gives him dread. “She thinks she’s helping me but she not,” Molly says. Ichabod is caught off-guard and asks, “She?”
The next scene show’s Diana on the phone saying that her daughter’s imaginary friend, named Mr. Stitch, was brought to life. When Diana asks Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) why Mr. Stitch paid them a visit at home, Jenny explains that the creature is going after people that give Molly “negative emotions.”
Diana then realizes that the monster is out to get her. In the final scene, Diana is seen struggling to fight off Mr. Stitch as he goes to attack her. It will be interesting to see if Molly can stop her imaginary friend from killing her own mother.
Molly is having a tough time trying to adjust to her new status as Witness. It seems that she will finally get the chance to visit the vault for the first time, according to Comicbook Movie. Ichabod and Diana will continue to protect Molly with all that they have as her life is continually at risk, considering her important role in the fight between good and evil.
‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4’s episode 9, titled “Child’s Play,” is scheduled to air on Fox on March 3, 2017. It will be followed by episode 10, titled "Insatiable," written by Keely McDonald and scheduled to be released on March 10.
