Short positions worth $5.69 million were liquidated across Binance, Bybit and OKX during an hour on Nov. 4 when Solana (SOL) climbed 2.60% on Binance’s spot market.

Binance quoted SOL at $93.01 at 8:50 a.m. ET (13:50 UTC) and $95.43 at 9:50 a.m. ET (14:50 UTC). The price change comes from quotes on one spot market; the liquidation tally covers positions closed across three exchanges.

Long liquidations totaled $40,000 over the same hour, leaving short liquidations $5.65 million higher. Short positions accounted for nearly all the liquidations reported across the three exchanges during that period.

An Oct. 29 EconoTimes report on an earlier Solana move recorded a 2.20% one-hour gain to $95.82, alongside $870,000 in short liquidations across the same exchanges. Long liquidations then totaled $20,000.

At 9:59 a.m. ET (14:59 UTC) Nov. 4, SOL was $94.80, up 1.66% over 24 hours, according to CoinGecko and exchange spot data. That 24-hour change measures a different period from the one-hour rise.
