The Guardian reported that some people released early from prison in England and Wales face homelessness when temporary accommodation ends.

James, 37, who left prison in August, told The Guardian he had no alternative accommodation arranged after his Somerset placement. In its Nov. 7 report, the newspaper said four days remained before his temporary stay ended. James said he had sought help from MPs, solicitors, probation staff and the local council.

“It is scary,” James told The Guardian. He also said he was considering asking to return to prison.
