Former Trump aide Sonny Joy Nelson offered an election-night assessment of Republican campaign strategy, telling NPR that some candidates had not put voters’ concerns at the center of their campaigns.
NPR host Juana Summers interviewed Nelson. The network published the conversation at 11:05 p.m. ET on Nov. 3.
The discussion took place as U.S. voters cast ballots in midterm races for Congress. Nelson’s criticism addressed the priorities Republican candidates presented to voters.
