South Korea’s composite consumer sentiment index falls in April

South Korean Composite Consumer Sentiment Index dropped in April. The confidence index fell 1point to 107.1 in the month. Consumer sentiments about current living standards and their future outlook continued to be the same as in March, at 95 and 102 respectively.

Consumer sentiments as to future household income and spending were one point lower each than in the month before, at 102 and 107 respectively.

Consumer sentiment related to current domestic economic conditions was one point less than in the prior month at 86, and that regarding future domestic economic conditions one point less as well, at 96. The expected inflation rate in the following year was 2.6 percent.
