Identity management platform Sphre that is focused on blockchain projects has collaborated with Airbitz, a data security platform and mobile bitcoin wallet, in a move to power secure blockchain-based identity management.
The release stated that Sphre’s AIR, a smart contract-based platform for the secure management and monetization of digital identities, will be using blockchain technology in order to leverage Airbitz’ Edge Security.
“The easy and intuitive user experience, coupled with rich functionality, great development environment and team made Airbitz an easy choice when considering the right partner for Sphre,” Daren Seymour, Director at Sphre, said. “We look forward to delivering an easy-to-use product to the market, and our partnership with Airbitz is a key component on this journey.”
The collaboration will benefit AIR from the versatility of Edge Security that is blockchain agnostic, to make sure intuitive and secure user experiences on both public and permissioned blockchains.
Being a secure system for digital identity and individual microeconomic engagement based on blockchain, AIR’s API permits third-party organizations and enterprises to integrate support for AIR into their existing and new systems.
Sphre also recently announced a crowdsale for the XID token that is powering the AIR platform, which will begin from 1st June, 2017. These tokens are utilized within the AIR platform in order to facilitate identity-based transactions.
