Jeff Seedman, a public relations specialist representing Squarespace, said a restructuring is eliminating about 300 roles around the world, equivalent to roughly 19% of the company's global workforce.

Seedman said the changes are meant to prepare Squarespace for its next growth phase. He said the company is adjusting how it organizes its work and directs attention to its priorities to improve execution.

A $7 billion private-equity deal took Squarespace back to private ownership in 2024, following a 2021 public-market debut at a $10 billion valuation.
