A discussion of Sri Lanka’s economic recovery will feature Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Chathuranga Abeysinghe at the NDTV World Summit 2026 in New Delhi on Oct. 22, NDTV reported.

The summit runs Oct. 22 and 23 under the theme “A World Between Orders.” Its other Oct. 22 speakers include Tushar Kumar and Hertsmere Mayor Parveen Rani.

Abeysinghe was elected to Parliament from Colombo in 2024 as a member of the National People’s Power and became deputy minister that November, according to NDTV.

NDTV reported that he earned a special degree in finance from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2008 and became an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2010. He also worked in finance at MAS Investments and later in analytics at MAS Holdings, the outlet said.

NDTV identifies Abeysinghe’s session as “Sri Lanka’s Economic Reset: Recovery, Resilience and the Road Ahead.” It is scheduled for 5 p.m. in New Delhi (11:30 a.m. UTC).
