‘Star Wars Rebels’ Season 3, Episode 9 Spoilers: "The Wynkahthu Job" – Rebels Team Up with Pirates to Salvage Supplies, Weapons

‘Star Wars Rebels’ season 3’s episode 9, entitled “The Wynkahthu Job”, will find the Rebels teaming up with Hondo and his pirates to salvage supplies and weapons needed by the Rebellion.

The synopsis of "The Wynkahthu Job" posted on Nerd Reactor reads, “The rebels team with a pair of unscrupulous pirates to salvage a freighter full of weapons the rebellion needs, but find the mission is far more dangerous than anticipated.”

With three more episodes before the season hiatus, it seems that the upcoming episode will take a break from villain Grand Admiral Thrawn’s master plans or the epic fights between the Jedi and the Sith to bring up something more light-hearted. It is expected that the last two episodes will feature storylines that will move more significantly before the next ones come in sometime in January 2017.

According to Comicbook.com, a preview clip for the incoming episode 9, entitled “Hondo’s Tale”, was released by Disney XD and Lucasfilm Animation on November 21, 2016 ahead of the scheduled release on November 26. A series of accompanying images were also revealed.

The preview showed Ezra (Taylor Gray) and Zeb (Steven Blum) listening to the story behind pirate Hondo Ohnaka’s latest adventure. Zeb seemed impatient and needed Hondo to skip the details and get straight to the point. He accused Hondo of bringing up their team only after they lost an entire crew.

Zeb went on to say that the pirates lied to them to which Ezra defends, “Well, he didn’t exactly lie. He just didn’t tell us the whole truth. Hondo agrees saying, “Well said! And some of the truth is better than none of the truth.”

In his impatience, Zeb walks off and commands that they open up the cargo hold before threatening Hondo with violence. According to Hondo is voiced by Jim Cummings, who worked on ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ before his character began appearing on ‘Star Wars Rebels’ as a guest star.

Hondo is a Weequay pirate who led the Ohnaka gang on Florrum during the Clone Wars before the gang dissolved, which left Hondo to survive as a small-time smuggler. He would then indirectly help the Rebellion by providing valuable assistance as well as intelligence aid.

‘Star Wars Rebels’ season 3’s episode 9, entitled "The Wynkahthu Job", is scheduled to air on Disney XD on November 26, 2016. It is followed by episode 10, entitled "An Inside Man", scheduled for December 3.
