“Steven Universe Future” season 1 has concluded with 10 episodes, and it was also known as the sixth season of “Steven Universe.” It ended in December with the “Prickly Pair” episode, and after the titular character found his new hobby of planting, there is no update yet about what’s next after that.

Now fans want to know if Cartoon Network will still renew the show for “Steven Universe Future” season 1 or “Steven Universe” season 7 yet, there is no announcement up to now. Many think that it could have been scrapped already, but Rebecca Sugar clearly stated before that they have many more stories to tell.
During the premiere of the “Steven Universe: Movie,” the show creator was asked about her plans after the movie, and she said that they have more plans for the show. Thus, it can be assumed that there will be more seasons up ahead.
“There is more,” Sugar told TV Line. “That’s all I can say at the moment, but there will be more, and everything that happened up to this point will continue to matter in true Steven Universe fashion.”
Steven Universe Future
While they have stated that it will not stop from the previous “Steven Universe Future,” the second season of this version could have ended already. This means that they will not be renewing “Steven Universe” season 2 anymore because the first one is meant to begin and end with just all 10 episodes.
It was explained on The Cinemaholic that “Steven Universe” season 2 will not happen because it was only an epilogue. This means that it was made to clarify all the things that the viewers did not understand when “Steven Universe” season 5 ended. The “Future” tied up all the loose ends of that installment, and since it already served its purpose, it will not be renewed anymore.
Steven Universe season 7
Then again, while “Steven Universe Future” season 2 may not arrive anymore, fans can still expect more stories via “Steven Universe” season 7. Rebecca Sugar could start afresh in this chapter and will tell narratives about the older version of the main character.
Steven has grown, and his life experiences will evolve as well. But as of this time, there is no word about any new “Steven Universe” movie or TV series.
