Stripe launched support for Open USD (OUSD) on Sept. 30, the same day the stablecoin went live, giving businesses access to the dollar-backed token through several payment and financial products.
Stripe said businesses can accept OUSD through Payments and use it with Treasury, Issuing, Global Payouts and Crypto Onramp.
Open Standard said the stablecoin went live on Sept. 30. Its June 30 announcement had projected a launch later in 2026.
Bridge, a Stripe company, issues OUSD. Open Standard's launch announcement lists Base, Ethereum, Solana and Tempo as networks where it is available. Stripe's announcement names Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe and Visa among Open Standard's founding companies.
Open Standard's June announcement framed no-cost minting and redemption, along with partner access to reserve earnings, as design incentives. Company announcements also said Open Standard partners may earn rewards tied to OUSD activity.
