‘Supergirl’ season 3 official description has recently been released by The CW but it had no mention of Maggie, hinting to the character’s poor fate. Although the new season’s release date remains unknown as of the present, the series is expected to return on The CW sometime in October 2017.
The CW has recently released the lengthy official description for the upcoming season of the superhero action-adventure and drama television series adapted from the DC comic book heroine of the same name, according to Krypton Site. However, a major character’s name hasn’t been mentioned. It may just be an oversight on the network’s end but fans couldn’t help but wonder what will become of Alex Danver’s girlfriend Maggie (Floriana Lima).
Maggie is a police detective of the National City Police Department who eventually became Alex’s love interest, following the latter’s acceptance of her sexual orientation. She is highly intelligent and clearly in control of her emotions. She is an expert detective and is skilled in hand-to-hand combat.
According to Moviepilot, it seems that the clear omission of Maggie’s name from the official description may be a hint at bad things to come for the character. On the upside, Cat Grant seems to be returning in full force for season 3.
An excerpt from the synopsis reads, “At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz (David Harewood), the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan). Also in Kara’s life are media mogul Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart), James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath), and Mon-El of Daxam (Chris Wood), whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. As Kara struggles to navigate her relationships and her burgeoning life as a reporter, her heart soars as she takes to the skies as Supergirl to fight crime.”
Although no official release date has been released by The CW as of the present, their fall line-up scheduled revealed that ‘Supergirl’ will remain in its usual time slot on Mondays at 8 in the evening. According to Den of Geek, the new season is expected to premiere sometime around the first or second week of October 2017.
‘Supergirl’ season 3 was renewed on The CW last January 2017.
