“Supernatural” season 14 episode 13 is going to be the series’ 300th episode and for this special chapter, it was revealed that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is returning to reprise his role as John Winchester. Fans have been waiting for this so they are excited following the announcement of his comeback.
It has been exactly 11 years since John Winchester appeared on the show and to be more precise, he was last seen in “Supernatural” season 2 finale titled “All Hell Breaks Loose: Part 2.” For avid viewers of the series, they know that he died after saving his son Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) and his death was quick that his sons did not get the chance to talk to him. But with his return, long conversations between Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean and their father are expected.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s return via “Supernatural” season 14 episode 13 titled “Lebanon” did not just excite the fans but the series’ showrunner Andrew Dabb also expressed his anticipation for the actor’s special appearance.
“We’re incredibly excited to have Jeffrey back for this milestone episode, and think fans will love what we have planned for his character and a few other surprise guest stars,” Deadline quoted him as saying in a statement.
In any case, the last episode of “Supernatural” before the mid-season break this year is set to air on Dec. 13. This is the ninth episode and it was titled “The Spear.” Its synopsis reads: “Sam and Dean enlist the help of their pal Garth to gain inside information on what Michael may be planning; the brothers split up to each go after weapons that can aid in their fight against the Archangel.”
Following this finale, the show will return on Jan. 17, 2019. There will be 11 more episodes to go after the break as “Supernatural” season 14 will only have 20 episodes in all which is less compared to the previous seasons.
Meanwhile, the 300th episode, “Supernatural” season 14 episode 13, is airing on Feb. 7, 2019, at 8 p.m. on CW Network.
