Sweden’s service producer price index dropped in the third quarter from the prior quarter. According to Statistics Sweden, the Service Producer Price Index dropped 0.1 percent sequentially in the September quarter. The Service Producer Price Index, since the third quarter of 2015, has risen 0.3 percent. The corresponding annual rate in the previous quarter was an upturn of 0.4 percent.
Decreased prices of Computer facilities management services mainly led to the drop in the overall service producer price index. It subtracted 0.3 percentage points from the overall figure. Lower prices for hotel and similar accommodation services, telecommunications services and rental and operating services of own or leased real estate, each contributed 0.1 percentage points to the downturn, noted Statistics Sweden.
Meanwhile, increased prices for other transportation support service offset the downturn. It contributed 0.2 percentage points, whereas real estate services contributed 0.1 percent points to the overall index.
