Swedish Riksbank is likely to publish inflation figures for July. So far, there has been no sign of a reversal of the inflation trend in Sweden. The Riksbank is particularly keen to see this happen.
"Unfortunately today's figures are unlikely to support such hopes, since consensus expectations are for inflation to remain stable in negative territory. Should the inflation rate fall even further, this will immediately intensify the pressure on the Riksbank to broaden its expansionary measures again to weaken the krona as this is ultimately the course it would prefer to take at the moment to produce at least a short-term surge in inflation", said Commerzbank in a report on Thursday.
