‘Switched at Birth’ season 5’s episode 10, titled "Long Live Love," will follow Bay as her tattoo work gets recognition and is featured in a magazine. Meanwhile, Daphne and Mingo will compete for the same paid internship position but may find that old romantic feelings will resurface.
The synopsis for “Long Live Love” posted on TV Guide reads, “In the series finale, Kathryn (Lea Thompson) realizes it has been five years since the switch was discovered and uncovers a long-buried family secret.
Meanwhile, Daphne (Katie Leclerc) competes against Mingo (Adam Hagenbuch) for a paid internship; Bay (Vanessa Marano) is celebrated for her tattoo work in a magazine; Toby (Lucas Grabeel) meets a young woman with Down syndrome; Melody (Marlee Matlin), Emmett (Sean Berdy) and Travis (Ryan Lane) make major decisions about their lives; and Regina (Constance Marie) takes a chance on love.”
The final 90-minute episode of Freeform’s teen and family drama television series is set to uncover long-buried secrets and truths for the Kennish and Vasquez families. Bay’s legal mother and Daphne’s biological mother, Kathryn, will learn of these buried family secrets after five long years since the girls’ accidental switch was discovered. Kathryn is set to become nostalgic and will celebrate the years after their families have begun living together.
In one of the photographs posted on Spoilers Guide, the blended Kennish and Vasquez families are all smiles as they stand by a table in what looks to be a dinner celebration.
It seems that Bay and Daphne will be doubling their efforts their respective chosen careers – with Daphne competing against Mingo for an important paid internship while Bay will find her tattoo work featured in a magazine.
According to Christian Post, it may not be all business for Daphne and Mingo since their situation may give them another chance at love. The two ex-es will be surprised to learn that they are both going for the same internship at the same company. Although they intend to compete against each other for the position, some familiar romantic feelings may begin to resurface.
Meanwhile, it looks like Bay’s tattoo work will finally garner the attention and recognition it deserves. More promotional photographs show Bay surrounded by images of her at work in what looks to be an exhibit. Her family is also seen attending the event in her support.
