Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) plans to expand its mid-market offerings, while Wipro Limited reports deal wins among those customers, as rivals introduce dedicated programs for the segment.

TCS Chief Financial Officer Samir Seksaria listed broader mid-market services among the company’s planned growth investments on an Oct. 8 earnings call. On Oct. 15, Wipro CEO and Managing Director Srini Pallia said the company had won work from mid-market clients and saw more potential deals. One global consumer products customer selected Wipro to build an AI capability center in India and update its technology, Pallia said.

Three competitors have launched programs aimed at companies below the largest enterprises. Accenture introduced Accenture Edge on June 23 for businesses with annual revenue of $300 million to $3 billion. HCLTech launched HCLTech Pulse on Sept. 17 for companies with revenue of $500 million to $5 billion. Cognizant followed with Cognizant Activate on Oct. 5, targeting businesses with revenue of $1 billion to $5 billion.

Those ranges show that the providers define the mid-market differently. Accenture said it designed its offer around the needs of companies of that size, while Cognizant described a dedicated operating model intended to make decisions and delivery faster.

TCS had identified mid-market customers before its October call. At an analyst day in December 2025, the company said acquisitions had widened its Salesforce services coverage across large enterprises and mid-market businesses.

The companies’ latest results provide a broader measure of their business. TCS reported $7.642 billion in revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30, up 0.5% from the previous quarter in constant currency. Wipro reported $2.6115 billion in IT services revenue, flat on the same basis. Neither company gave a revenue figure for its mid-market work in the cited calls.

In its Oct. 15 results, Wipro forecast IT services revenue of $2.571 billion to $2.625 billion for the quarter ending Dec. 31. That would represent a sequential change ranging from a 1.5% decline to 0.5% growth in constant currency.
